another vote for pete, knows the vw/audi range from new to old like the back of his hand
I can vouch for Pete...I have bought gear off him, and have been in his insane APR tuned S3 (Saw it dyno 254KW ATW!!)... He is a really good bloke.

Does anyone know if Pete does installations of tuning chips?

If you mean 'supply and install' then yes, Pete has installed chips in a few of my cars - APR in the Polo and something else (maybe Ottinger or DMS?) in the MkV TDI.
Another vote too for his services - Pete and the guys out there are great for tuning work as well as regular servicing.
Yes, I did mean supply. Cheers!

For gods sake give him a call!!! He's the best person to answer your questions and he won't bite your head off.
I've been asking him stupid questions for over 20 years.
Cheers

The official line will be that if you've made modifications to your car, and something goes wrong, VW would be within their rights not to cover any warranty claim as a result.
The reality is more likely to be that if you tune your ECU and try to make a drivetrain warranty claim you might be in trouble, but if you have completely unrelated warranty concerns (like bodywork or interior trim) you shouldn't have any problems.
Although most ECU tunes are perfectly safe, especially the 'Stage 1' tunes which are pretty much tried and tested, if you're worried about voiding your warranty as a result of the tune then perhaps leaving the car as stock until your warranty runs out might give you more peace of mind.
Thanks sports racer and jamesatfish, I appreciate your replies. I suppose at the end of it all the decision is mine...
I will give Pete a call. Think about it. Chew my nails. Stare at the car. Sit in the car...and then make a decision.
