Found a couple of alternatives to the APR unit. Both considerably cheaper too. Though, they are cat-back...
AWE make a pretty neat system, they also do the down-pipe, but say it's for "race only"...
Cat-back, choice of tips.....
Mk6 GTI Catback w/ Polished Silver Round Tips $659.95(USD)
Up to.......
Mk6 GTI Catback w/ Diamond Black Oval Tips $729.95(USD)

Also checked out MagnaFlow..
Cat-back as well, larger tips.
L4 2.0L Turbo 5 x 8 x 14in. Muffler, 3/2.5in. System, Dual 4in. Polished Tips, SPLIT REAR EXIT....$825.74(USD)

Both sites offer a sound/video clip, both sound pretty sweet....
The Magnaflow is probably the louder of the two, but very very nice...
Both have agencies/re-sellers down here in Aus.
Time for me to make a decision.....
