    vr6 throttle body

    this is a bit of a stab in the dark guys but would anyone know how much meat there is between the water jacket and inner bore of a vr6 throttle body

    i dont know, but i dont think there would be too much between them, a couple mm maybe?, most people just get rid of the ramps going up to the butterfly dont they?

    yeah i was reading up on it i ended up buying a 2.9 tb from ebay

    hmm...how is the 2.9tb different from the regular 2.8tb?

    can we talk about this on this part of the forum? i hope so cos im doin it.

    yeah is the 2.9 one bigger? are there any additiional mods you need to make to make it fit or work? all wires and coolant pipes and stuff fit straight up, like its plug and play?

    I keep thinking about taking to the stock TB on my VR with a dremel to take those ramps up, would be interested is it actually makes any appreciable difference. Same goes for the 2.9TB.

    im fairly sure its slightly bigger
    theres only one plug
    and apart from the vac lines there shouldn't be a problem
    wait and see, il fit it and find out if i have any problems
