increases the comp by 0.5 a point doesn't it?
What about getting a set of 11.5.1 pistons to increase the comp some more?
Hey all
Just really seeing what everyone else thinks but.
I am thinking of combining the engine as it is with a mk4 head gasket, with the the cams and GIAC chip I have.
What benefits will the mk4 headgasket do as I hear alot of raves about the vortexers that do it.
The engine will also have a SCHRICK

Don't want to go the piston route just was thinking if it was OK really... Wanted to see what it will do to the VR as I have heard alot of the vortexers talk about it!

Stavros, your Compression ratio will be raised by the mk4 head gasket! Ask Seb about it

I am running the GIAC but what will the pistons set me back? I don't really want to do that cause I will most likely be driving this a fair bit in traffic!

As mentioned in my PM. I dont think id do it as ive heard of a few people having pinging problems in the warmer weather after going that route. Might end up being an expensive mistake for really not much extra power.
besides.. Shouldnt we be talking about decompressing your engine instead of increasing compression?!
