It's OK mate KI11Z probably didn't follow all your posts, these things happen in the forum. We will get to the bottom of the faut, don't worry.

I believe I was asking for people's opinion on my state of tune and if it is producing the same sort of results on the dyno and road etc as other peoples GTI's. I felt mine was a little off and decided to see if anyone here could help me with some info, so I knew where I was at in regards to my tune. Clearly there is a problem with my tune as has been stated by many people here and I thank you all for your input.

I thought that my second dyno run graph was a tad out with regards to a nice power curve, and am wondering if it would be possible to cause a leak from my DV when I changed it to the upgraded OEM Rev D version? maybe I didn't do all the bolts up enough and the added boost from the tune is causing a leak?

Any other ideas where to look for faults in my GTI, I tired to prevent weak supporting mod failure by preempting them and swapping out the known culprits before I got the tune done. I might look into the ignition system causing issues with misfires as stated in an earlier post and into the hypothetical boost leak I may have caused but not noticed until I was running more boost... who knows.
Your power figures are on the money, take the claimed figures by pretty much anyone with a bucket of salt and there's quite a few things that could be stuffing things up not related to the tune. Apart from the obvious coil packs and plugs and crap diverter valve you also have the fuel pump and follower plus if its an early model the camshaft lobe. You'd pick this up by logging your fuel pressure.
I've had one early 2005 car that has all of these things fail too and its a PIA, goes well now though. I've left out carbon buildup for a higher km vehicle too
With the dyno plot they may have used no smoothing on the final runs but even so it should possibly be a bit better just get the guys to log all the proper blocks and see whats going on. I do this before (and of course after) I tune any car to let me know whats going on beforehand

    Cheers

I am reading this with interest as I also have a gti with high kays (170,000) and have experienced big boost leak after tbe, cai and stage 2 tune from Gav (ccode). Car is ballistic, goes like stink, pulls really hard from 2500 up to redline and I dynoed 161kw atw but vcds logs taken during dyno indicate a big boost leak up to 5psi if vcds is accruate. Also afr's are up and down all over the place.

I've had the DV, pcv, intake cam, cam follower, timing chain, timing belt, camshaft adjuster, hpfp upgrade, 145 bar rail valve all replaced/fitted but vcds is still logging a massive boost leak. My next step is to go into solitaire and get them to pressure test the whole works as Gav wont give me a pump specific tune until this boost leak is fixed! Something isn't liking the extra boost and is letting it out. Gonna happen when you raise the bar like that (pardon the pun).

Happy to hook up and chat.

I'm interested to know how you can accurately log a boost leak via VCDS. From certain data you can induce it has a leak, but in my opinion a proper pressurised boost leak test is the only way to confirm it mechanically.

Its the special & optional boost leak block that not many know about

yes I wondered about this myself, I am talking about the boost requested and actual differences in vcds. Do you not give this any cred? But yes a pressure test is def on the cards to be sure.

Was this power delivery wobble noticeable when the tune first went in? Seems like something the tuner would have noticed. Failing components will def show up issues that stock tunes don't present as clearly.

IMO, don't go changing parts to try to fix the issue, talk to the tuner again, they should have a clearer understanding of which component is likely causing you grief.

That can also be the turbo failing to produce that amount too especially with the K03's top end. It can be the actuator spring being a bit weak or the adjustment wobbled loose and it could also simply be the requested boost value being too high for that volume of air (think load and rpm) or something else entirely. It could also be a leak that only shows its head above a certain value like you might see with an intercooler hose for example. If you had a leak at idle or part throttle you'd see it in the trim values assuming you'd already looked at these and knew what was normal when the car was healthy previously.
    There's some ideas anyway

Thanx for a few different ideas on what may be causing a problem, Let the investigation begin!
