    Viezu ECU remap

Here is a link to my experience with Viezu remaps (plus V-Switch) for my Polo 1.9 TDi

I had some hassles getting my order through due to there being no Australian dealer/distributor (not since the great Maverick blow up vs ChippedUK) but that has now been resolved so I thought I'd share my experience.

    What an offer!!!

The local distributor is offering V-Switches for VDubClub forum members for $699 with free shipping and ANY two maps !!!!!
    See here

BTW I'm not getting any kickbacks for this (don't list me as a referral - just join the forum) - I'm just an EXTREMELY happy customer.

As am I. My little polo ran 89.5 kw at the wheels at this last weekend's dyno day. I was hoping for somewhere around the 80fwkw mark, which i would have been content with, given the humble 74kw at the flywheel for these cars. Not only have i recovered drivetrain losses in my dyno figure, i made up an extra 15kw!

120fwhp isnt bad, considering it's a diesel, and that the turbo is the size of my fist.

If you dont mind thinking outside the box when it comes to getting tunes, they do both diesel and petrol - and the diesel offerings from Viezu are much better than from... ehem.... some partner companies of other tuners here in australia (unless you dont mind paying $2k for a log-in-with-my-vendor-login-details-and-download-the-.zip-file-map kind of tune, which are most tunes).

Just a bump to point out this offer is still on.

If you have a look at the cars that are shortly to be remapped, you'll get an idea of what level of cars Viezu are catering for.

Just to repeat : I'm not getting any kickbacks for this (don't list me as a referral - just join the forum) - I'm just an EXTREMELY happy customer.

Looks like the Aust distributor for Viezu is offering a $50 incentive to any client referrals......

Not at all Lucas. I have stated that I'm not interested in that. I just think it is a particularly good offer from a new distributor for a product that I bought (and by the way, I didn't buy it from Simon - I got it BEFORE he set up his business in Australia). Yes, I am trying to help promote the brand but only because of good experience with the brand, just as I've posted in the past about DNA Tuning because I have friends who have had good results from DNA Tuning remaps and I like the local distributor, John.

If you had bothered to read the threads on the other forum (which I AM trying to promote), you will see where I have not accepted some offers by the Viezu distributor for additional remaps to trial as I am more than satisified with the maps that I purchased. If I feel the need for additional maps - patricularly after some upcoming track days - then I will pay for them. This is another reason that I chose Viezu as the vendor for my remaps - they had more choice than the alternative vendors and they use the Alientech ECU loader so I can make use of as many maps as they are able to supply for my vehicle.

Sorry if you feel somehow threatened by my suggesting that you hadn't fully done your research in your Bluefin enquiry thread.

Viezu really do know their stuff and Simon is a great guy to deal with hence I've just signed myself up for the deal also. Although the new car doesn't belong in the VAG group, I thought it might be helpful to mention that they do indeed have the expertise to tune vehicles outside of the VAG group of cars. I'm about to pick up a new Holden Cruze CDX 2.0vcdi diesel manual this Friday and have enquired about Viezu's tune for it and even just judging by the numbers I can expect, it looks very promising. I too have also tried the DNA tune for our Skoda Octavia RS and can only say that I'm very happy with the product that John at DNA tuning has sold me and I would also highly recommend him for tunes also. However, in case you're wondering, no I'm not going for any referral bonus from neither DNA or Viezu. Just a happy DNA tuning customer and looking forward to becoming a happy Viezu customer also.

Anyone else have experience or feedback on the Viezu tunes. They are very well priced - just wondering what non-diesel car owners think of their tunes?

I've been giving them a plug because they are mainly know for diesels in Aust and the distributor has only recently set up so there probably aren't too many petrol users in Australia, outside the cars that the distributor has reflashed himself.

He's a nice guy if you want to contact him for info but I understand the reluctance to head into uncharted waters.

My good friend purchased a Viezu box from Simon at Etech remapping last week and it arrived today. It's for a Mk5 GTI. He has read the stock ECU file onto the controller and emailed the file off.

Keen to see what he thinks of the new tune. Will report back in the next day or two.
