Ok, done it, claw hammer did the trick!

I am just in the process of fitting a Forge Wintake to my 2007 EOS 2.0 TFSI, all going well so far but currently stuck on removing the inlet pipe from the turbo. After a long battle I have been able to remove the spring clip but so far I can't get the pipe to come off the turbo - is there a secret method to this or does it just require brute force?
The engine is cold at the moment, would it help if it was warm?
Thanks,
Adam

Apart from getting the turbo inlet pipe off everything else about the install was really easy. Two issues with the turbo inlet, 1) getting the spring clip off because access is very restricted and the only tool I had was adjustable grips and 2) having got the clip off and loose up the pipe getting the hose to let go of the turbo required the use of a claw hammer to hook under the edge and pull up hard.
Here are before and after pics for those interested, it is a very high quality kit, I am very impressed!
I had read about an increase in induction noise from this system which puzzled me as it is fully enclosed, as I suspected I am not hearing any difference in induction noise at all. That's a good thing for me, I do not want to draw attention to it.

Hope you dont mind me asking but where did you buy your Forge Wintake from? I'd like to order one for my 2012 Tiguan as well. cheers Rybky .... regards
I got mine from ECS Tuning, around $450 delivered. Forge make a different intake for the TSI engines which is what you will have in the Tiguan and as team_v mentions you may not even be able to fit one on a Tiguan. If in doubt drop Forge Motorsports an email directly.

Quick update on this. I ran with the Wintake for a week but really could not live with the noise, it is very loud and not a nice noise either! The problem is the use of the metal pipe from the filter to the turbo, it seems to be resonating the sound.
Rather than take it off completely I decided to try something different and combine the stock airbox with the Forge filter and intake funnel, basically I just removed the panel filter from the engine cover fitted it back and attached the Forge filter to the inlet on the cover, it is a tight fit but does go well. At the weekend I will remove it again and cut away some of the cover so that it sits properly.
The result is still some induction and turbo noise but about 1/3 of the volume compared to before!! Much more acceptable.
OK so I know the air flow will not be quite as smooth as it has to pass through the empty air box but the air will be colder and there will be a better flow rate.

Does that mean there are now two filters? or have you removed the filter from the wintake, carbonio style
