    Turbo Swap

So I want to try something new as a project and I've done some research and just gonna run it through you guys to see if it's possible.

Planning on removing the stock TD02 (03C145702C) turbo from the 90TSi engine and swapping it with a K03 (06A145704). From what I can see, the only main difference between them is the divertor valve isn't located on the turbo, the flanges are different but the oil lines and position of the turbo is very similar.

Will need to fab a new dump pipe, manifold and intake pipe to fit the DV to.

Has anyone attempted this? or started too? Very interested to find out as much as I can before I start buying turbo's and getting pipes and manifolds made.

    Sounds like an interesting project.

Get the thing tuned first before you go down the turbo swap path, we have done a few of these with the bluefin now (ECU has to come out to enable it) and they are amazingly quick, for such a small engine that I orginally didn't rate they really haul a$$

Will deff tune the thing. What gains did bluefin give?

Last time I have seen DYNO comparison, Bluefin vs APR the max HP look almost identical.
Difference was in midrange, with APR generating more torque.
I wonder if tunes have improved since then. That was back in 2011.

I had APR on my AUDI Quattro, very smooth. More expensive too.
