TURBO back Exhaust system for MK7 Golf R

    Hi all

Just wondering if someone knows of a Turbo back system or even just a downpipes that will work with a MK7 Golf R without a ECU remap. I wish to use a piggy back computer instead from ABT or JB1 or similar. I have been to war over warranty with VW in the past regarding my tuned Pirelli GTI and I will not remap my ECU again. Less power and limitations with Piggy back but more warranty.LOL

I have read conflicting advice, some say that a downpipes will have a CEL fault without a ECU remap while others say that a Downpipes with work with standard ECU tune?

    Thanks

I think VWRacing do one. I was looking at their cat-back version this morning. Can't remember what it says about CEL codes though.

This is also of interest for me as looking at a DP for a different purpose (correspondingly also interested the JB1, have an extended warranty so not keen to go down the ECU tune at this stage)...

I highly doubt there would be an exhaust available that would not require a tune, a new exhaust would be less restrictive compared to oem which means afr's would change and thus a tune required.

Would hate to risk it and have the engine go.

you can run the downpipe but you will need a spacer for the o2 sensor

Correct, the spacer will usually work although I recall there were a few instances of CELs still being tripped on the Mk6 - no idea how this has translated to the Mk7.
