Tuning for VW 147TSI (2011+ Jetta)

Hi all,

I've been doing a bit of research as i'm interested in a tune for my 2012 VW Jetta 147tsi. I was wondering if anyone knew what tunes were available to me.

I'm aware APR have one and i'm currently dealing with John from Tigersoft (great bloke!) to see if there's a compatible superchips - bluefin option.

Are there any others anyone can suggest that maybe suitable for my vehicle?

Your in Melbourne so you have every option at your disposal. You have already mentioned APR and Bluefin, so here are a few others:

GIAC (see Tim at DubAddiction) Dub Ad·dic·tion [duhb uh-dik-shuhn]
Revo (see AudVolks) Revo Technik - Australia
DNA Tuning (speak to John at DNA) MK V/VI Golf GTI + SRS-II Special although i dont think the SRS hand controller will work on your Jetta. I believe it will need to be bench tuned (removal of ECU).

Hey Lucas,

After reading some of your threads the other day (very good read as well), I contacted John at DNA tuning. He's sending me the SRS controller to see if my ecu is encrypted. I hope not!!!

The SRS is very handy so it will be great if it will be able to work with your ECU, although you will have to try to find out. It seems that some of the ECUs in the current 2.0TSI engines can be flashed via OBD and others cant. Otherwise, he can remove your ECU and bench flash it (we did this with my brothers Skoda TDi because it had an encrypted ECU - takes 5 mins to remove the ECU).

Cant recommend DNA enough, my car (Golf R), my friends car (Golf GTI) and my brothers car (Skoda Octavia TDi) are all tuned with DNA.

john at DNA has been extremely helpful so far and definately knows his stuff. I'm looking forward to working with him more to sort out a tune for my car
