Would be a fun event but again would prove nothing.

You could get an inflated trap speed on a fwd car by having massive wheelspin.
You can get a better time/trap speed on an awd car by stripping more weight.

Neither of the above things would reflect on the tuners.
Tuners would have the most significant input based upon the modifications available .
Peak dyno figures mean less on a tuners ability than peak MPH on the dragstrip

Did I mention companies like APR could fit their exhausts , intake etc Giac with AWE exhaust intake , Revo have their own etc etc
It should be more a tuner showcase on what Tunes + specific hardware can achieve .

Yes it is dry , cause its never happened , Tuners can call each other out but never race each other ................

Still would prove nothing as per my points above.
So by all means go out, have some fun racing, compete, Meet people, share a drink, make some friends.

Drawing a false conclusion as to which tuner has done a better job based on the mph of cars that are not alike. Especially not fwd ones.

For the record deancorp ran a slower time at 112mph. Doesnt mean his car had more power on that run just means he screwed up the launch.

So your saying that what I have offered is flawed ?
Im happy to hear your suggestion on some kind of tuner battle that would be fair ?

FWD cars if set up right can have a higher mph than equivalent 4wd cars , in my experience anyway

Drag racing is about power to weight ratio, not just power. If you have a gti vs a R with same turbo/mods the gti should have more terminal speed because of the 100kg difference in weight. Am I right?

I think you need to use identical cars. Same drivetrain,(being fwd or awd) and same gearbox.
