A statement like that needs a bit more clarification.

Are you saying APR can custom flash the ECU rom then return it to stock without any trace?

    Will you guarantee that?

What evidence have you got that this has been tested?
MED17, Simos 17 & 18, MED9 & EDC16/17 I can vouch for - tested personally with ODIS at the Audi dealerships & the VAS system currently in place at VW.

This is my current information & understanding what the system searches for in the background. The system may change, and there are new Bosch MED17 ECU's (not tuned by us yet) that are different, so I can't speak for that yet.

Also Audi / VW may update their system too - I'm sure they won't telephone me & tell me when they do

I agree and am always upfront with my customers bout the warranty and what is void and what not. Also the one should consider what is the likelihood that they may need that warranty.

That's called "manual" TD1 tagging, pretty simple & been around for a decade. The service manager / VW rep can manually enter a "modified" tag on the cars history.

This happens for springs, wheels, exhausts, intakes.

It's not to be confused with automatic ECU tagging.
