Hi Scott,
Im not on here much but just stumbled across your thread. Im not a sponsor over here so i hope im not breaking any rules, will comment anyway.
Most of the info is on the website but just a bit of info on these:
As others have mentioned the pipe diameter around the MAF area is very important. Being specifically molded cross link poly pipe the diameter is the correct size to give good fuel trims. No other intake using steel piping will be able to do this. The simple fact is unless you do a specific run at a mill (which will be tonnes and tonnes worth) the closest pipe is 2.75 inch. Which is wrong. Im not 100% sure so dont quote me on this but i think other intake in question did a cheap fix by inserting a sleeve into the pipe to help change the diameter. 9/10 cars ive seen with these intakes or other intakes with the same size pipe have had fuel trims out of whack.
Whilst the intakes are manufacture in the US, we modify them in house to help fit out Euro model Golf's as their are some small differences. We also include our own heat shield which helps get a bit of heat way from the MAF sensor which is very sensitive.
We are always here to help, please feel free to ask any questions. We have sold well over 100 of these and im glad to say have had zero problems.
Engine covers are super popular. The intercoolers seem to work well and are good value for money.
Free delivery Australia wide on everything we sell.
Cheers
