    Probably this.

Has your car had issues in the past?

Not really, because the problem isn't in the factory map. You could have an issue with one of the spark plugs for example. It's fine with the stock tune level, but as soon as that performance level increases, the spark plug causes problems and the engine starts hiccuping. (Just a random example).

Could be something as simple as sparkplugs, I have seen it after some MK4 flashes. How old are they?

Logging is done with a VCDS cable from Ross-Tech: Home

The ECU has an element of learning capability and looks at your driving style.

Jimmy is right though, internet diagnosis doesn't usually amount to much.

Doctor Google can't fix your broken leg.

The good thing is it is usually something simple.

This statement from Corey_R is what I would agree on:
Often what happens when installing an aftermarket flash is that it "highlights" or even "uncovers" an existing problem which isn't evident when you have the standard mapping

If there was a problem with a car such as weak spark plugs for example or a MAF sensor then by uploading a tune on top of this is not going to generate great results.

I understand from frustration also but I would point the finger at the a problem with your car first.

It is unfortunate in this case for both the owner of the car and the tuning company as a companies reputation can be damaged especially on forums until the problem is rectified even though the problem may never be anything to do with the tuning company!

Your tuning company can't do **** by you describing random events that happen when you're driving. Ask your tuning company what logs you should run, obtain VCDS cable and get logs.

Describing what's going on doesn't prove or show anything.

    Ok update time.

Sent off another email to superchips and got no acknowledgement at all of my situation (THE THING THAT REALLY ANNOYS ME ABOUT ALL THIS), only a notification to say there is a remap available for download. so I went to download it to the bluefin and nothing. no download there.

I am really not happy about this at all. I will go and install some new spark plugs this afternoon and see if that fixes anything.

My question about the spark plugs, or most "simple problems" is this, why does the tune work fine when it is above 4000rpm and working it's hardest? At these engine speeds, all of these parts would be working there hardest wouldnt they? The problem is in the 1500~rpm to 4000~rpm range.

My biggest frustration in all of this is that I have had no acknowledgment or recognition of my situation from Superchips (despite requesting an acknowledgment or explanation from them). Obviously they are reading my email and sending me off a new remap, and thats it.
Very poor customer service from my perspective.

no no... dude.... don't go start replacing your spark plugs. It could seriously be ANYTHING. I just used that as a random example. I could have just as easily picked your coilpack, or diverter valve instead. I'm sure JMac and Gavin could tell you 20 things off the top of their heads that has caused issues after flashing.

You really need to start doing some logging of your car via VCDS and monitor items that your Superchips/Bluefin dealer suggest, to diagnose what is actually causing the issues.

If you don't have VCDS and aren't willing to buy that and perform the leg work yourself, then you might need to contact your Superchips/Bluefin dealer, discuss the subject of a refund, and then go to a local ECU tuner in Sydney that can provide you in person support and directly look at your car and diagnose this issue. There are numerous Sydney outfits representing several "name brands" as well as independents who produce their own tunes.

ok ok I wont. I'm just so stressed about this now that I just want to get it fixed.

I dont know what to do now.

Do i wait and see if Superchips can/will do something about it?

I want to get back to square one and have a clean slate before moving forward again.

This whole thing is headscrewing me and i'm not happy!
