Yes did it myself. Just done a fault check and brought up engine control module 01314, but it brings this up everytime I reflash it once cleared it stays cleared. Just returned to stock and it runs normal, then back to bluefin and the increase in power but very surgy, power is not constant especially before 3000rpm.

probably something mechanical that doesn't have a sensor.

I get errors when I flash a tune too. they disappear, but I clear them all the same.

When I get the data logging done what am I looking for or will it be obvious to a mechanic. Also is this logging done on a dyno or just with the laptop? Anybody idea the best place to go brisbane or Northside.

Told you I was an Amerture.

Sorry, need to add quote. Would data logging show this or does this only find issues with sensors?

if its a leak, then you're going to see a big difference between requested boost and actual boost. yes they will be slightly different anyway.

log things like MAF voltage, Actual Boost, Requested Boost, Ign Timing etc

worst case, get it smoke tested or throw it on a dyno and have it looked at while they load up the engine in the rollers

Just going to bump in here and say that my requested and actual boost are quite different, should I be worried? How to check for leak?

    whats 'quite different'?

I should really log it on my own car to see whats going on and how large the difference is between requested and actual.

Much more that 1-200 mb is when I start looking. Don't be checking it in 1st and 2nd gears. Should be well peaked by 4000 revs.

If you can't find one of the guys up there with VCDS you can actually use the bluefin itself to log data too albeit at a slower sampling rate. I assume you've been in contact with the files guys yes ??. They should be able to walk you through the logging process but try and do it on a section of road in say 3rd or a taller gear where you can accelerate from say 2000 to redline to get some consistency. If its just a boost issue it will be easy to fix, could also simply be a torque limit at one point being hit too - from the way you mention it but that's just my wild guess of the day

You have to remember that requested and actual will be quite different down low where the turbo isn't capable of producing any boost, same applies at the top end in some of the more substantial tunes too. Normally once the turbo is producing boost it should track very closely if everything is setup correctly
