    Supercharged mk1

What do you guys think? i have a lil supercharger lying around was going to see if i should fit her up... looks like i could moun t it fairly easy and get some pipes made up at the local exhaust shop... or even buy the bend and weld them up myself...

i also have a little intercooler so go with it will get pics of it soon.

here are some pics of the charger and where i though would be a good spot for it.

the crank shaft pulley already has the end made up to drive a belt and the teeth on the supercharger fit that...also have the belt so i just have to make up some mounts for the charger.

is that a toyota 4AGZE charger?
Looks tiny, might add restriction higher in your rev range.

good idea or not so good idea?

or better of selling it and turboing it?

You'll have to upgrade your K-Jet with increase fuel pressure & boost sensitve warm up regulator.

You'll also have to fit a timing retard for you ignition!

i wouldn't run the piping through the box i would have it split just after it leaves the box.
I dont understand about the fuel side? its already running at 8psi...from the k-jet pump. from what i understand

    I don't get it.

If you run K-jet with any forced induction the piping has to run from the airflap to the unit, whether it is a turbo & supercharger & then onto the intercooler (if fitted) & then the throttle body.

K-Jet system pressure should also be 5bar & control pressure should be from 1.2bar (cold) to 2.8 bar (hot) Approx. figure's

    oooo...

so it doesn't run from the charger to the throttle body and the air box just draws air?

hang on i will draw a pic of what is in my head!

    Yeh.

The piping run's from the K-jet gear, to the supercharger & then onto the throttle body.

But the K-jet still need's boost reference to supply the right amount of fuel.
