careful stu - your charger ID

stu, that charger you have is not a toyota model.

the toyota SC-12 (1200CC displacement per rev) and the SC-14 (1400CC disp/rev) are much larger (and made by toyota).

the supercharger you have posted pictures of is, as mollins pointed out, the AISIN AMR300. this supercharger is only 300CC displacement, and hence you will need to run a very large overdrive to make any boost (or even keep up with atmospheric pressure).

AISIN is part of FUJI heavy industries - who make subaru. the 'charger is from a 600cc viveo which was sold only in japan. there are a few kicking around - i once bought one on ebay.

since its got such a small displacement, it is unlikely to be of any use to you (unless you plan on downgrading to a small block 1.1l engine or something)

Flexable or solid.. It really doesn't matter that much, however you are better off running solid tube as much as you can, with a few flexable joints where you need them. That eliminates a lot of the chances of getting leaks.

this is what i was getting at before!!! i never said it was a toyota charger...i had a sneaking suspicion it was an AMR300. i'm going to see what i can get off ebay and prob get a 4agze charger...that was off a 6 cylinder 2.0lt so that should be able to make some power

i am not sure how much bigger they are...i mean anything would be bigger than what i have

The 4AGZE one is the smaller of the 2 toyota superchargers. It is called an sc12 and it pumps 1.2l per revolution, the bigger one is the sc14 which pumps 1.4l per revolution. I recommend you get the bigger one (which was off a 2.0l 6 cyl crown, you can get them for $250 to $300 from jap wreckers/importers usually.

The crown motor only had about 127kw but it didn't use an intercooler and didn't run much boost. As an example I used one of these sc14 blowers on my old 2.0l 8v and got 112kw@wheels (so over 150hp @ wheels) at about 9psi. So that should give you an idea on what is easily achievable out of one of these.

    different pulleys AFAIK

cooler means you should be able to pump a few more psi than without a cooler on std internals.

You change the boost by changing the ratio of the crank pulley to blower pulley (like gears on a push bike - crank cog:rear whell cog). You make the crank pulley bigger to spin the blower faster and make more boost, or you make the supercharger puller smaller to do the same thing. With these blowers its easier to get a bigger crank pulley off some other vw model.

No worries. I had an AGG 2.0l which was EFI already and I used a microtech ECU. I'm not sure how to set it up with k-jet, it would make things trickier I'd imagine but its not impossible. Good luck though, it definitely gives you a good power boost!
