Now I hope I don't blow up my turbo as the new found power will become an addiction to keep going WOT.
don't you get to choose the transmission type on the Bluefin Desktop?

but good that they sorted that out.

i had called superships UK a few times and asked questions before i went to stage 2. they gave me the correct stage 2 tune without any dramas.

and yes, it's very addictive! i spent the next 2 weeks driving the car just for the sake of going WOT and experience that new found powaaar and screams, but kept it under the speed limits off course

also had a chance driving it on a track and loved it

will go on a track day very soon next month :p

btw, add a CAI and stage 2 intake pipe, you'll love it even more! wooshing, sucking and spooling noises are so gooood

the stock intake system is very restrictive, doubt upgrading it to foam panel one would do much.. Go for Carbonio APR for a neat look.

    superchips - Google Search

Search engines can answer most questions like that gman90. There's a great deal more players in the VW tuning game than APR and Revo.

Superchips - Superchips optimise the performance of your car, helping to maximise your driving pleasure.

it's the official tuning partner for Volkwagen Racing in UK.

cost wise, it's probably the least compared to APR / GIAC / REVO.

power increase, it's probably gentler compared to the others. a Mk6 GTI tuned with GIAC + downpipe can reach 170kw dynoed at the wheel.

Bluefin stage 1, no downpipe, mine, did 144kw at the wheel, but power delivery is very similar to stock tune. but this guy here did 160 something kw at the wheel (i think he asked for a more aggressive tune).

Bear in mind at the wheel figures are roughly 20-30% less than on paper due to losses through the drivetrain.

Quick outline. Superchips was first started in 1977 and renamed to superchips in 1991. Currently offering ECU tuning to over 50 makes of vehicles in the UK alone, so you can safely say as a company, they've been around a lot longer than most. Not knocking others as there are numerous good tuners out there, but to answer the question, a heck of along time...

Go Bluefin! Good to see it getting essentially the same power at stage 2 as Giac. I have Bluefin stage 1 on my Golf R and love it. Its a little pocket rocket.

Thinking of going bluefin stage 2 myself. I have been reading on the UK forums that people have had mixed results with stage 2 until adding a HPFP. Anyone here running stage 2 without the HPFP suffer any any fuel cut outs or inconsistent boost?

very impressive figures. I had a giac stage 1 on my mk5 but seems going stage 2 is what is needed for that added fun factor in the mk 6 when it arrives. Always open to see what's in the market place. What are the costs for the stage 1 and stage 2 software from bluefin. is the costs the same for the GTD is there a stage 2 for that vehicle? I see there's a agent in vic a few posts above hoping he may help seeing i'm in vic.
