Thats a good increase in power from stage 1 to stage 2 Scuby_Snax.

Geez its amazing how much the power varies from one dyno to another. Are they even at all accurate?? Im not saying this to have a go at anyone, but the reason im saying this is because i had my R dyno'd about a month ago and it made 166kw with the stock tune and just a VW Racing intake, and then made 186kw with the Bluefin Stage 1 tune installed + the VW Racing intake. Test carried out on a Mainline AWD dyno here in Newcastle on a 20 degree day.

Then a guy from VWGolf.net just had his R custom tuned by BPS in Brisbane 2 weeks ago (user: Tarmac). His car made 145kw stock and then made 191kw after his tune. He had downpipe, fuel pump, RS4 regulator, Evoms intake plus a few other things. See here >> Tarmac's Golf R - Page 24

I dont believe that my car has 186kw - how could it when you and Tarmac have done so many more modifications and pretty much getting the same result? But is the Mainline dyno i went to reading ridiculously high or do the Dyno Dynamics dynos read very low? Why do the dynos vary so much from one to another??

    Short answer, no.

This is why all the manufacturers, engine builders, race teams etc, all have engine dyno's in "controlled rooms" and extensive calibration processes for said engine dyno's etc. There is just way too much variables in roller dyno's in "workshops" to be consistent even day to day on the same dyno, let alone from different dyno to dyno. Even small variations in PSI in the tyres, or how tight the car is strapped down and make measurable differences on roller dynos.

Roller dyno's are most useful for easy of testing "before and after" results for aftermarket performance modifications, since you don't need to remove the engine etc

I know that CES make some good quality stuff, but so do Hi Tech in Sydney and you have this option >> VW Golf GTi Mk6 Engine Pipe

Thanks for the info! Wonder if a custom dump pipe is cheaper then say APR?

At the time when I did the exhaust Apr wanted around $4k + fitting for their full exhaust package. I got the full custom system fitted for a little over $3k. Plus I didn't want the divorced down pipe apr offer, so this suited me better. It's louder then the apr exhaust but I like a little noise .

I'm happy with the gains, alot more torque down low as the dyno shows.
