Does anyone have info on and a contact for REVO Technik in QLD?

Interested in checking out pricing for a stage one Engine and DSG tune for the wifes rocco once its run in a bit. She is picking up on Thursday so am thinking after around 1500k of running.

    Thanks for any info

    Cheers Q

I may very well be getting a Rocco customer locally for a tune, and if so it will definitely be going on the dyno!

Go with whatever company you feel most comfortable with in terms of communication, support and ease of future mods.

For me, Viezu won because of the ongoing ability to upgrade, plus where I am moving there are no tuning companies.

For others APR, Giac, Revo etc work well.

You will be getting similar results with most of them. Some may get a few kw more or less, or deliver the power in a different way. But all the established players are generally pretty good.

+1. when tuning, it'd be nice to think that there is SOME room for flexibility, should you need to revisit the tuning process for slight tweaks, smoothing of spikes etc... this is where it's important to have a tuner that will understand and work with you, as well as communicate with you in a way that leaves you with no doubts.

lucky for you guys, viezu have now got a VERY strong presence in australia, not to mention simon and greg from this forum who are very, very good in the communication/ customer service department.

before the receptionists in the chippeduk HQ in Worcestershire started saying "welcome to viezu..." instead of "welcome to chippeduk" (sorry simon!), feedback and communication was a big part of why i went with chippeduk - even though it was over the other side of the world, talking with jayson (founder of chippeduk) over the phone and via email, was all seamless and left me in no doubt that this was the option for me.

thankfully, there are lots of reliable tuners in oz now, unlike the 2 or 3 ''big brands'' as little as 4 years ago.

    my 2c.

I'm pretty interested in the parts that are coming out now as well. But, it's one of those things that I chose to go APR for my intake because it best suited my needs, viezu for the downpipe, who knows what for the intercooler. I like being able to pick and chose as I go along, and not have my wallet penalised for chosing to use other brands.

If you want to package it up, other tuners offer good packages. It's the usual thing, your money, your choice. Unless you get something of ebay there is no right or wrong choice. Just slightly different results and slightly different approaches to how things are done.

I like competition in the market. It forces others to lift their game, drop their prices and rethink how they are positioned in the market. It's a win for consumers.

Viezu will indeed be doing packages, with "Viezu Racing" being far bigger than even I knew about, so you can DIY your mods, or buy a complete deal. I'll also be aiming to add the Carformance range to those package deals, to cater for various pricepoints. Exciting times, just want to fast forward to when it's all sorted!!

    siiiiiiiiick.

so greg, will the viezu/carformance suite of options potentially involve gt1749vb (and up) turbo upgrades for the 8v tdi's, including mapping etc?

i only ask as our turbos are all going to blow one day, and from what i've seen overseas, gt1749vb's are cheaper, by a couple of hundred dollars, than replacement kkk kp39's/ borg warner bv39's for the pd100 engine...

I have no control over what hardware Viezu release locally, but hope to be offering Darkside later this year, so there will be TDI love!
