    Q: 16v throttle bodies

    hey guys quick question

are all 16v throttle bodies the same diamater??

it has confused me slightly due to the fact that some mani's are 50mm runners and some are 42mm?

also would the audi throttle mod fit this and will it be bigger??

The throttle body on KR motors is the same regardless of the diameter of the inlet manifold's runners.

The 50mm manifold flows significantly better at the top end over the 42mm one.

The 42mm is fitted to Corrados and Passats due to the better torque it produces, which helps with the extra weight of both cars.

PM peedman about what he has. He was thinking of doing a ITB setup using 4AGE throttle bodies and (I think) has an adapter plate for it to go on a KR that he didn't end up getting (which I think is in your hands now!).

Some guys in the US have converted and documented their 9a to digi2 by using 8v parts so that might be an option for u.
