There goes it, a good product getting ruined by dealers again. This thread isn't going to be doing any good for APR and the dealers, I'm going to wait now to see how they respond to the official APR email.

    Just a quick update.

The situation is being rectified soon. Have been contacted by representatives of both APR Australia and the APR Dealer.

Will post the final outcome on the othe side.

    Thanks for all your support.

If you have no joy, You can contact myself,
i can flash your car to real stock, there will be a small charge as i will probably take 15-30 minutes.
The giac flashing software will also correct any eeprom error if present and reset your flash and security counters so it looks like a real virgin ecu again. Its all done in car via obd, no need to open ecu.

Not surprised mate. Quite an arrogant lot. Weren't particularly helpful with problems or questions I had with them hence I no longer go back to them. If its APR stuff you want to buy then yes they're "somewhat receptive" but anything not got to do with APR, they don't want to even know you. Just don't go there to get any problems rectified unless the guy is floating on cloud 9 that day then you might experience some friendly service if you're lucky, otherwise cross your fingers when you get work done there that it all goes smoothly. Makes a difference in customer service attitude when you started the business yourself compared to one who inherits it. Other may beg to differ but that's been my experience with them and from some others I've heard over the past couple of years.

Yes I guess its only being rectified now since maybe some one has had a talk with someone about apr's reputation and how their attitude may be affecting it. But regardless, hope they fix it this time for you mate. It's true that first impressions last.

If anyone has a problem with APR's Products or services, I suggest you contact us in Brisbane and we can discuss your concern.

Guy_H is currently overseas on business and will return next week.

In the meantime I am happy to discuss any concern you may have with our products or services.

If you read the original post it was clearly stated that the customer contacted the dealer and APR Australia and was given the same line.

This is not the first instance of this happening and I think its clear that a policy needs to be put in place to react to the situation. You shouldnt have to argue or cause a public fuss to have your ECU returned to stock. APR also need to acknowledge the situation as they seem to be willing to do so over in the US as it just makes you guys look shifty.

Seconded! Need more clarity and honesty with info. e.g. for another example, don't go telling us the KO4 used is a APR proprietary one when APR USA tells us its a BG. Be honest and we all respect and gain trust in you but be shifty and arrogant and it won't be long til people make a public uproar. Remember, business image and reputation takes years to build up but only takes seconds to destroy. I too was really into APR products initially but after some ridiculous prices, poor info (from APR Aust.) and arrogant attitude (the latter from local dealer) and no real discounts from loyal customers, I decided it was time to move on. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against APR products and I'm sure they are of great quality but its unfortunate that certain happenings kinda ruin it for a number of us. I was thinking of giving APR another chance with the tune for my new skoda but after some poor customer service from the dealer end, I made up my mind for the final time and moved on. Such a pity really as I was thinking of spending the extra $600 bucks for the tune. If all of the above is fixed and advice from customers and fellow vdubbers is taken on board, I'm sure there's many more years of prosperity for APR here in Australia.

Many questions were asked in this thread I would be more than happy to answer. I'm typing on my phone headed to one of our Motorsport races but when I have full access to a keyboard I'll answer each question & concern.

    Thank you!
