Yep. Anything on the Aus site?
I notice that the 1.4 TSI Twincharger page on goapr.com lists the Polo in the vehicle application guide.
Yep. Anything on the Aus site?
From reading, my understanding with the 7spd DSG installed in the the Polo GTI is that it's maximum torque load capacity is 250Nm.
What are the thoughts on this figure and if it is indeed correct? Also how is the long term reliability going to be when the engine output is increased?
Cheers,
Trent

Hey Trent, my thoughts are that it's just like the 6sp DSG has a "350Nm capacity". No one cared that the manual also had a 350Nm capacity, they'd just flash and upgrade away. But because the DSG is new technology and expensive to repair, everyone was cautious.
Of course, now we've got Stage III cars running around with 515Nm of torque and the 6sp DSG is fine as long as you're not track racing or constantly participating in the traffic lights GP!
The 7sp 250Nm DSG obviously won't scale to anywhere near those levels. The clutches are dry and single plate instead of multi. But aftermarket tuners have already been running around 320Nm for a year or so on the Golf 118TSI.
So I see no reason that the Polo GTI wouldn't be able to handle at least the same.
Really looking forward to putting this on my GTI.
I will more than likely be getting the cold air intake as well (if/when it's available).

The car will be a stock (unmodified) Volkswagen Polo GTI, but they will use it to coordinate with the USA based APR engineering team and create and validate the ECU tune for the Polo GTI. From the sounds of things they'll also have more than just software in time...
Does that answer the question?
