Maybe so, but I was still interested in the ratios out there of people who have tunes. I don't give two hoots if APR has more, hence why I asked people to comment on their own tunes. Part of my research to my tune I guess.

Perhaps the question should have been: "what tune do you think is best?" or "if you were to do a ECU tune, whom would you go with?"

That way everyone could vote, even if the don't have a tune!

Pointless as some may see it, I'm sure there are those who are still interested. The fact you even commented on it shows you have some interest.

i've been wrapped with bluefin - great price vs performance ratio imho. As a stage 1 only tune, I don't think you can go wrong with it - and only $600 delivered... Not sure what the other tunes are like, but I love being able to dial back to stock settings at the push of a button when taking the car to a stealership for a service etc..
There are a few more other nifty diagnostic features I haven't tapped into yet.

Very happy with mine, just got it today, flashed tonight: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...tml#post798568

1st gear is still pretty lame (car is manual) but omg, every other gear it is now kicking butt! Dash lights flashing away when flooring it out of an intersection from a little wheel spin

I can see several DNA Tuning customers under "Other", but nobody would know unless they posted a reply in this thread and people actually looked through; but yes, doesn't matter.

It is definitely surprising to see how many APR customers there are relative to the rest, despite the 25-100% premium they charge for similar or equivalent products/services. Yes, this poll is a small population sample, but it just goes to show how effective their marketing and supply channel strategies are.

Another question could have been "why did you choose that particular tune, and are you happy with it?"

There are those of us who don't live in, or close to, a capital city, and would have to drive 1000 kms to get a tune from most of the brands on this poll. I chose Viezu, partly because of the comments from those who had gone that way, but mainly because of the V-Switch box which enabled me to do it myself.

However, if I was in, or close to Brisbane, and had the choices some of you have, I may have ended up with something altogether different.

And BTW, I am happy with it
    Why a Golf R?

Its interesting that the same question was asked on VWG and the results are a bit different. The question there seems to be directed at mk6 owners specifically though so perhaps the split is different for this reason.

I have APR on the Tig because when i got it there was a lot of other tig owners who had the tune and had no issues with it.
They also had done development of hardware for stage 2 which wasn't available with other companies in Australia.

In hindsight i would probably go with APR, Viezu or a custom tune from BPS in Brisbane based on what i was after.

It is surprising. That's my thought. Those that voted 'Other' were asked to specify in comments.
