    Phenolic manifold spacers

Wondered how affective manifold spacers were for a 16v ABF. Having the intake manifold run directly over the engine i guess it would be affected by a hot engine. Replacing the stock gasket with a phenolic spacer is supposed to reduce the effects. Ive never heard of anyone using these but it looks like it makes sense.

I too have looked at them in the past for my KR, but at the time I thought they weren't cost effective. The concept makes perfect sense though.
