Passat Pod Filter
i installed a K&N Pod filter last week on my 2003 passat se v6 cost $230 including installation , suprised at how much difference it has made , big difference in sound and more power

Looks ok mate, but now it will be sucking up all the hot air coming from the exhaust manifold. See if you can get a proper cold air intake, it makes much more difference. I have a neuspeed one, the filter sits in the bumper and its really good. The downside is that it could suck up water. I live in Perth so its not that much of a problem since it doesnt rain here too often

Or you could build a heat-shield to help the cool air in and the hot air out...

its making this banging noise from time to time sounds like its from exhaust , is it something bad or nah , what can i do to prevent this

How do you know it's making more power?
Regarding the banging noise - is the pod filter secured somehow so it can't move around? As you rev, your engine will try to twist, and you may find that the pod is banging around a bit inside the bay. To stop it, you'll need to secure it somehow (but still give some allowance for movement of the engine).
Nothing to see here...

I am going with Manaz to say how do you know it has more power?
