    P3Cars gauge - different options?

Just installed my P3 gauge. I noticed that two of the options are different from those show at P3Cars.com » VW / Audi Install Guides

    in particular:
    - For Bst (boost) I have C, d, A and n - the reference only has digital, analog or none. What is "C"?
    - For engine type, I only have tFSI, 3.2 and tdi. No option for the other engine types shown. I assume tFSI is ok for Golf R.

    any experiences with these options?

    thanks

The bSt.C option is a beta feature that reads pre-throttle charge pipe pressure from vag data... it will get slightly higher peaks and won't show manifold vacuum because it is reading the sensor in the charge pipe. Some people prefer this because it lines up exactly with a vag-com log compared to regular p3 digital boost which lines up with what an actual gauge on the manifold would show(boost and vacuum).

TFSI option is good for both tsi and fsi cars, including Golf R.

another issue has arisen. I have connected the green wire on the P3 to the grey dimmer function (switch posn 10) and selected D.On.A (for auto dimmer function). Whilst each function can be selected, the display flickers.

I tired changing the dimmer settings - min gave 2.4v through the grey wire; max gave 11.3v. min or max had no effect on the operation of the P3.

    any thoughts?

Are you sure you have the correct wire and location mate ?

I never bothered connecting mine as it just takes a press to dim at night.

I prefer not to mess with factory wiring

yes, from what I can read on the net. green wire on unit to grey wire at position 10 on the light switch. then set the unit to auto dim.

Send P3 an email (I am pretty sure Rick above is Rick from P3 who I have dealt with before)

    Send him a pm perhaps

P3 and Rick have always been very quick to reply to my emails
