There are allowances for forced induction.
    Eg from here:
    http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/...ns.html?llid=4

Examples of moderate performance turbo/supercharged vehicles that may be eligible for exemption include (but are not limited to):

    Audi 1781cc, A3 and A4
    Mercedes-Benz 1796cc, C180, CLK200K, E200K, C200, C230 and SLK 200K
Saab 1988 cc, 9-3 Linear, Arc and Vector
    Volvo 2521cc, S80, XC70 and XC90
    Volkswagen 1400cc Golf 90TSI 118TSI, 1400cc Jetta 118TSI and 2000cc Tiguan 125TSI

The Passat 1.8T and Golf 4 GTI (same 1.8T as the A3 and A4 on this list) used to be listed under VW but the eligible cars list has been updated.

My wife is just about to get her Ps...

She is going to go for the exemption on driving our MkV GTI as its the only auto available to drive (Pogo and MkII are both manual obviously)...she is 30 and needs it for work and taking kids to school so I reckon she should be right with the exemption, what do you reckon?
1986 MkII Golf GTI 16V (Sold), 2005 MkV Golf GTI (Sold), 2007 Polo GTI (Sold), 2011 Polo 66TDI (Selling), 2012 Passat 125 TDI Bluemotion, 2013 Scirocco R (Due October!)

You have 3 cars in the family, they'll probably ask her to learn to drive manual

All P platers are hoons and a danger to other drivers when behind the wheel of performance vehicles.

Just kidding, I'm sure the stereotype brakes at a certain age, 30 is safe

i know p platers who drive concrete pumps (massive machines that look like cranes) on there ps and they need a heavy rigid licence or something like that and you cant get that on ur ps... but exemption allowed it coz it was for work. U'll be sweet as for the p plate thing... i took of the gti badge
