New Car. When to APR 1?

    Just a simple question. Thanks!!

How long should I be driving a new Golf R DSG until I can flash the ECU with APR Stage 1?

About the distance it takes to get yourself to an APR distributor....

I left mine until it hit 1000km but it hasn't caused me any issues at all so far.
Having said that others had had it running for around 2 years by the time i got mine done so it had been checked.

It really is up to you and if you thikn it is oging to affect your car in a way that is costly to you or not.

If APR is your choice (as was mine), don't even bother with the free trial, just do it. Saves 2 trips to your APR guy.

    Thanks for the replies.

What if there is a problem with the car after Stage 1 is done on it? Can I revert it back to factory ECU and send it in for warranty fix?

Is it true that 0-100 sub-5sec can be achieved without any modification to the car? DSG version.

Probably best talk to your APR guy re warranty.

After mine was APR'd stage 1, I achieved 0-100Km/h in 4.4 sec, then the alarm clock woke me up.
