    n75 question

just looking into one of my changes i want to do with my next car..

on end of the n75 valve plugs into the TIP, does it actually read from it or is it just so it holds in place?

Would it work if that end was not in the TIP?

im plannin to run a dose pipe so no air filter just a pipe so there wont be a place for the n75 to be plugged into, otherwise if it's required then il have to get a custom pipe made..

its all show no go this time.

I think the N75 is normally passing a small amount of air back into the intake and it flips to pushing air to the wastegate actuator when required. If you block it off you may have issues, but as long as the airflow is not restricted to the wastegate, i cant see an issue. Some people just leave it wired but use an MBC, so I cant see it causing issues.

Unless you are running a MAFless ECU program, you still need to measure the air coming in, right?

No air filter? Is this to get the sound you want or is there something I'm missing?

ok so looks like il have to get a pipe made with a small piece to attach the n75.

yes, the maf will be connected to the intercooler piping and divertor valve removed.. so off the turbo will just be a metal pipe with no filter.. produces the loudest echo.. like the vl turbo's..

i actually wanted to do this on my passat but where the turbo sat right at the front of the car i couldnt do it.. on a golf/a3 its easier.

yeh, the MAF is just for before the air filter on the 1.8T, you move it to the intercooler piping.. it still reads air
