Your right Pete, Mk1 GTi's ( Golf and Scirocco ) all came with the 239 x 22 disc and larger calipers. They clear the factory Std 13 x 5.5 alloy wheel by miles.
The Ball joints should come with M7 bolts and nuts ( 8.8 Mpa grade from memory ) guess it depends who your supplier is..
So interested in what pressure limiting valve or proportioning valve your going to run to the rear brakes ?? I see your using the 22 mil master cyl...
Some of the thread holes on the rear brake set up are Metric fine, your SHCS bolts pic'd there all look to be metric std pitch...just dont want ya chewing out threads..

Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...
If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??
Cheers,
Grant...
My supplier was Matt (Loon) There were no bolts in the boxes. M7 is a pretty weird size, but the holes would be right for that.
Got some of the Scirocco ones from the US ( with the right numbers for discs)
Got it covered, I picked some up. You can see 2 of them just at the edge of the green tray, the pitch isn't obvious but they're M10 x 1.25x20 al the other M10s are 1.5 pitch. Thanks for the warning though.
Pete
