Mk7 Golf 1.4TSI - Muffler and res delete?

    Pros and cons.

And for a good exhaust shop near Melbourne Docklands.

Just disconnect the rear section and drive the car around the block. You'll soon tell if it's something you want to pay $ to make permanent.

I would not remove the rear muffler, at the most the resonator. There is a video on you tube of a guy who removed the muffler and he regretted it

I thought it was the other way around. The resonator made drone.

the only exhaust mod worth doing is the dump pipe/better cat. the resonator deletes & cat backs sound too raspy to me,
i might look at setting the flaps to be always open, that seems to sound ok.

A deres is a pretty cheap and reversible mod. If all you want is more sound I'd start with that first. If it sounds good but drones a little you can get a hotdog resonator installed.. That should cut and drone by roughly half.

A full DP and straight though CAT are great performance mod and will be pricey.

It depends how hardcore you are haha, if you're a monkey like myself, then just remove all the muffler and go straight pipe I've had it for a few months, drone doesn't bother me its not too bad!
