If you're on Ls, is it a good idea/legal to tune your car?

I am doing some training in Melbourne early September. I can probably sort something out before that though.

The tunes on the market won't hurt your fuel economy unless you are driving the car hard all the time.

Gavin, I think the laws here have changed recently; the turbocharged aspect has been removed and they have gone back to a power to weight ratio type scheme again.

On your L's you can drive anything. Even v12s and everything.
Have you got stats? 0-100? Kw? Nm? All that sorta info

My brother recently has his Skoda Octavia 103TDI tuned by John at DNA Tuning. It took approx 2 seconds off the 0-100kph time, and takes power from 103kw > 130kw and 320nm > 400nm (approx). Feels like a completely different car to drive now, it was pretty slow and lethargic in stock form, but it really gets a move on now.

And it still gets 5L/100km on the freeway too.

CustomCode also have some good diesel tunes too.

Thanks guys rego just come up (forgot about it) so there goes $696.50 to the allready over paid government so will be about 2-4 weeks before i get it done and DNA being in melbourne would probably be my best option here at the moment.
will get in touch with all parties for a quote when the funds come back haha

sorry dude, i've gotta say - both gavs and john (dna) would be awesome to go with - they've both got strong tunes and a loyal, happy customer base...

but if you're looking to blow some dough, and you're on your L plates, wouldnt you be better off learning a bit more about driving/ the car/ etc, than upping the torque by a considerable amount?

i've written a car off before, and if i could wind back the clock it would have been knowing the car properly + better tyres, that would have helped me avoid what happened.

better tyres = safer yet better cornering + much better braking...

just a suggestion.

Brake - 9mm left.
