    Don't I know it!!!

Its not a question of if, its a question of when!!!!!!!

Although in saying this, I finally got a chance to really stretched its legs up through the Spurs, Marysville, Warburton, Healeville, Yarra Glen etc etctoday.

& with Pip (golfgirl) in town on a day stay over, I threw her the keys. But only after I explained & demonstrated that its not a ordinary golf & you definitely have to have respect for it, otherwise it will bite you hard!!!!

So with her at the helm, it was pretty funny just sitting back in the passenger seat while she let loose on it! (I did wind down the boost to 16psi though just to make it safer!) Even on the old crappy Bob Jane allrounders, she managed to hold off a couple of blokes on big capacity bikes!

So in all, it was the longest day trip the car has had with approx 450km & the hardest drive its had as far as punishment goes.
Normally its just a point, shoot & peg it for a few hundreds metres etc. But this was a constant long trip & nothing went wrong.

It did spew only alittle bit out the oil can/breather, but nothing too serious & the engine noise is still the same!!!!

    Well done, Timmy boy!

I don't reckon you'll have any trouble as long as it doesn't detonate.. Which you've got sorted out. At the end of the day though i'm interested to see if something does let go. I reckon it'll be a rod stud or a piston. The rods are way too strong.

    Hey Tim,

I am very keen on perhaps following in your footsteps in the next 6 months... getting all my research done beforehand, not the person to rush in

If you could put up your vortex info would be great, the more information I have the better.

Been getting through your build thread here, one hell of a beast there!

I was expecting 170-220hp (fly) with a turbo setup on a 8v EV k-Jet 1.8, from a MkII GTI, but it seems I have been the opisite of optimistic! Which is always nice, not going to get my hopes up yet though!

Anyway yeah, the more info you can give to me to read, the better.

    Thanks mate,
    Aaron.

Just read the build thread relating to this - inspirational stuff.

I love the sleeper look of this car - the venetian blind, sunvisor and the wheels are classic.

    Thanks for sharing.
