Got a 2012 Scirocco R. It's currently throwing an error code that the intake manifold is stuck open. Had a carbon cleaning done but it made no difference.

Looked around on various forums and seems this is a common problem with these engines. Most of the USA forums said there was even an extended warranty on these. Called the local VW dealer in Sydney, no luck, I think I'll be forking out for a new intake manifold.

I've also got some future performance mods in mind (Stage 2 tune, cold air intake) so will probably have the intake manifold replaced at the same time. Bit in the dark about these engines but I was wondering whether, rather than replacing the whole intake manifold, will the runner flap delete kits fix my problem and also go hand in hand with a stage 2 tune?
