anyone?
Im currently contemplating which intake to buy for the giac tune stage 2.
im considering between apr carbonio and the awe tuning.
i've heard people recommend awe tuning along with giac...i'm not sure the reason why...
is it neccessary to relocate the MAP sensor? since APR don't need to relocate, does that mean it doesn't flow as good as intakes that relocates?
please share your experiences..thanks.
anyone?
I have a VWR intake, on my GTI and it does just fine.... sounds like a vacuum cleaner on startup
2011 MK6 GTI ED35
APR Stage 2 / APR HPFP / APR Turbo back Exhaust / VWR Intake / Ohlins shocks / HP Sway Bars / HP Control Arms
MY13 AMAROK HIGHLINE / Oettinger tuned / ATS Wheels
I've got the APR Carbonio (and stage II tune with large exhaust down pipe) and it works just fine,
lot's of air & whistle noises when using large throttle settings
In general, gains from a CAI are pretty small...
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst
APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks
Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels
its mk6 gti.
does the vwr relocate map sensor?
Yes relocates nicely.... The plastic engine cover/filter box goes....
2011 MK6 GTI ED35
APR Stage 2 / APR HPFP / APR Turbo back Exhaust / VWR Intake / Ohlins shocks / HP Sway Bars / HP Control Arms
MY13 AMAROK HIGHLINE / Oettinger tuned / ATS Wheels
so why is relocation neccessary? when the apr dont need to.?
The VWR intake for the Mk6 GTI doesnt relocate the MAF sensor. Neither does the APR intake. The MAF sensor is located just near the battery and it doesnt move, but everything prior to the MAF is replaced with the new intake.
The Golf R and GTI 35 use a different setup to the normal GTI.
