very easy.
Do a youtube search. Quite a few how-to guides
eg: MKV but near enough the same

So I'm thinking about installing my 42DD Downpipe to my MkVI 6 Golf R myself. I'm very mechanically minded and have done plenty of work on other cars.
Just wondering if anyone has done this before and was it relatively easy? Does anyone know if any major parts need to be removed or loosened such as tailshaft, crossmember or mounts others than the exhaust of course?
Any tricks worth knowing?
Cheers

carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic
I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
a pressed metal reinforcing/brace cross member has to come off
rear muffler off
front section of exhaust off
tailshaft centre uni mount
tailshaft rear bolts
tailshaft front bolts
tailshaft out
rear O2 sensor
front O2 sensor
The tailshaft section might drive you nuts unless you have clearance ideally a hoist
3-4hrs work for someone who hasn't done it before, I rekon.
just put everything back where it came from
+3475863459843 on using a hoist for the job
