Has anyone done any ecu flashing, remap or upgrade for a Passat CC 125 TDI DSG?
Can anyone recommend a product they have actually used?
I'm looking at REVO or BLUEFIN just want peoples experiences with them or any others

What's a DPF delete?
Removal of the Diesel particulate filter which allows more air to flow quicker through the system.
With a Retune after the DPF delete the 125kw Diesel golf owners are set to see 170-180kw and 450-ish NMW of torque.

The DPF is a filter to trap soot in the exhaust. It does this like a cat, but one that has closed channels, and the incoming gas is forced through a porous wall into an outflowing channel. Traps solids nicely, but highly restrictive. Required for all diesel cars to meet euro V emissions. Some more info in the stickies in the Diesel section.
The trapped soot is burnt off as temps rise, and if that doesn't occur via normal driving, the car forces a regeneration and dumps extra fuel late in the combustion cycle to heat the DPF up considerably to burn off that soot. Thing is it's never 100%, and several years down the track that DPF is going to permanently clog. That's the downside, but you're at least 100-150k off that as a minimum.

Pretty good I reckon, the extra weight would tame the wheelspin and the 2000rpm torque spike nicely.

Will removing the DPF void my warranty? Is it safe for the car? Is it legal? Will it make a different exhaust sound?
DPF removal will void warranty.
Not sure if it is legal or not, i know that the car has to meet those euro standards to be sold but i am not sure if it has to comply with them after it is sold.
It should be safe, basically they just remove the DPF and retune the engine to allow for the decreased resistance.
Not sure abot the exhaust note.
Shouldn't affect it though.
