    Help with the turbocharger.

Good day From Sunny South Africa Cape Town.

I am looking for information about the 2.1L watercooled engine. I need the specs for a turbo for this engine?

Does anybody know of a 2.1l that was turbo charged??

What are your plans for the car? Do you want an all out racing engine or a great street engine with plenty of low down power and torque.

What kind of money are you looking at spending on the turbo?

What model is the 2.1l engine from? Is it an 8 or 16 valve head?

    Good day Twin ....

The engine is in a aeroplane a KR2 2 seater very fast use to fly inland at altitudes of 4000 ft now at sea level and having problems with EGT over 800 deg C and over boost.

I need information on TURBOCHARGERS for this engine 2.1L transporter 8 valve watercooled (flat 4/ WASSERBOKS).

My maximum revs that the prop can handel is 3800rpm, so I need all my power low down to get me in the air and then to cruise at 3000 - 3200rpm at 200km/h (108Knots/h).

Hope its more clear what i am looking for.

Did the engine come standard with a turbocharger? If it did you could simply replace it with the original factory turbo..

EGT over 800 deg C is very high i would be rather worried about your fueling is it leaning out?

If it isn't factory turbocharged I would recomend a Garrett GT25, it will boost up very low around 2000rpm on your engine and with a 4 into 1 equal length exhaust manifold custom made from steam pipe bends it will make great power and torque. If you run low boost you may not need to fit an intercooler to it, but i would check your inlet air temperatures and use an aftermarket engine management system to set your fuel and ignition curves correctly.

    Good day

It was a after maket turbo installed and used at 4000ft above sea level no problems if used at these altitudes and operatin at 8500ft.

Thanks will look at the GT 25 and are also looking at the EMS for this engin, a resistor on water temp wire and the start feul are both used to give more feul already. Problem nou at sea level is the over boost and EGT.

    Thanks
