Golf R - ecu flash

Looking at flashing the ecu, however like most the car has extended warranty for the next 3 years.

Any options which can either be undetected or reverted back to stock without leaving any trail?

Car will be serviced at my mates, however warranty is with car dealer - third party.

Warranty will only be used is something very bad happens !!

As has been mentioned before, all tunes leave a "trail" and if VW truly need to find out, they can

All tunes can be reverted to a stock map, some tunes revert to a tuners version of the stock map, others the actual individual VW stock map

However, the likelihood of VW investigating to that length is low but it is possible

The ease of reverting to stock varies by tune and some charge you for the service, others include this as part of the original tune price

Some tuners even provide a warranty for issues caused by the tune

Edit - when you say the warranty is with the car dealer, is this a dealer supplied warranty or a VW extended warranty ?

If it is the former - you got screwed.
