From the dyno readouts ive seen from BPS, their dyno reads low on power but is very generous on the torque. Ive seen about half a dozen dyno sheets from BPS tuned Golf R's and they all have the same traits.

At the dyno day in Sydney earlier this year, there were a good 20 or so Golf R's and also several Audi S3's in all different levels of tune, including bone stock cars.

The stock ones made around 160-165kw and about 300nm

Stage 1 cars were mostly around 180-185kw and 320-330nm

Stage 2+ and custom tuned cars were around 200-220kw and 400-420nm.

My car made 204kw and 354nm with stage 1 tune but i had stage 2 parts (dump pipe and intake).

Hard to really compare results accurately with your cars, as the readings vary from one dyno to another.

Link to dyno sheets here if you are interested: http://www.vwgolf.net.au/showthread.php?t=9440

Very true but didn't think it would be so much different. I understand all cars and dynos are different and you always get I bit of variation. Just didn't think it would be over 100 nm. I have heard bps dyno is a lil low on the kw side but didn't know it was a lil high on the nm.
Hmm very interesting! Not trying to get into tuner arguments all tunes are good I just like to see what some ppl are getting out of their cars with different mods.
Plus I am not to sure what to do next to mine and like to see what is sorta the best way to go to get a bit more power as different ppl like to go with different things. I was thinking intercooler and fuel pump but my guy was saying maybe just do pump and don't worry about cooler as yet cos my intake temps are still pritty good.

By the sounds of it I might be around the same sorta power as you Lucas as I have the similar mods to you.

Ive just recently upgraded the intercooler, HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) and RS4 fuel pressure valve as well as upgraded my tune to a HPFP specific tune.

I am currently doing some logging on the car (a/f ratios, boost and fuel pressure) before i head back to the dyno in the next few weeks. If all goes well im hoping for around 210kw and 400nm.....but i guess ill find out on the day.

The figures i mention above are based on the same dyno and based on what other Golf R's with same/similar mods achieved at the dyno day earlier this year.

PS - the stock intercooler is pretty reasonable in my books and quite large considering the weeny size of the turbo. The only real benefits of a larger all alloy cooler are for repeated hi rpm runs like on a racetrack/dyno etc. the odd squirt off from the traffic lights wont make a difference.

I also noticed a 5-8 degree temp drop on the intake temps from the upgraded intercooler.

And the HPFP allows the power to come on a bit harder and faster as it overcomes the stock pumps inability to flow too much fuel at low to mid range rpm.

I am currently considering this - yes. Not sure if ill do water+meth or just water injection at this stage.

I have just recently purchased a new BSH throttle pipe from the intercooler outlet up to the throttle body which has 2x water meth bungs in it.

Not 100% sure if ill go ahead with it just yet, but the throttle pipe gives me the ability to do so if i decide to.

Hmm I am leaning. More towards hpfp next.
Not sure about water meth cos I have heard some horror story about them and ppl not realizing the tank is nearly empty and popping their engines. Think after fuel pump and the rest of the exhaust it maybe time to look at upgrading the turbo if I want any noticeable gains.

Yeah i too have considered the water/meth route. Only because i have the same BSH throttle pipe you are talking about lucas. I havent decided if its a good idea or not yet.

I also thought the tourqe was a little low on that dyno above. My car on the 2wd APR dyno (Hub) made 462nm and on APC awd Dyno Dynamics made about 425Nm.

My problem is trying to get a good 1/4 mile time. Struggling at the moment. You been back to the strip Shane (forgive spelling)?

It depends if you tune the ECU to control fuelling and timing reliant on the W/M being there. If you did that and it ran out, then there'd be trouble. Any half decent system these days has a level switch so you know it's coming and can drive accordingly.

Otherwise, if you use it to ensure that you don't lose power, due to high AITs then you'll be ok.
