Thread: Golf R APR Stage 1+?

  1. #31

Anybody who wants to test the file, contact your local APR dealer.

Who's up for a dyno comparison back to back?

Yours and every other Stage 2+ car that isn't owned by a dealer!

Must be the most amazing tune in the world to all of a sudden make so much power with out the extra hardware! A cynic would call b/s...

We have some more revisions to suit some new hardware due in the next 2 months as well. If you do not understand the differences between Golf R & S3, give me a call & i'll run through them for you.

Are you stage 2+ Dave? I'll organise a test for you. We will be rolling the changes back into the stage 1 files as well, but that will take a month or two.

I reckon I'll do a dyno run once I've got my pump done and post up the results, only difference will be my intake setup (GruppeM with Neuspeed intake pipe). I'm gonna get it during the easter sale (if they have one) so it shouldn't be too long.

What's the best place in Perth to get the run done?

Lazarus, check with APR if they are going to charge you extra for this 1+ tune if you don't use an APR CAI.

That was the case with their Stage 2 tune. No APR DP, pay extra for Stage 2 tune.

I'm pretty sure the 1+ doesn't specify an intake as being required so I should be ok, but I will check. Cheers.

    Jeeze.

Imagine having a tune where you were locked into a set pattern of upgrades and modifications, having to pay extra if you used another brand.

I'd have an issue with that.

Oh well, too bad for me and the others who were attracted by APR's top notch marketing.

All I can do now is share my experience with others.
