Not gonna give figures cos that just dengenerates into b/s arguements but FWIW I have had dynos before/after the tune and then another run with the APR "stock" tune while testing and its about the same (give or take for dyno factors).

Best get it right the first time

All the available chips appear to be pretty much the same in terms of the power you feel at the pants, GIAC has a nice little edge over the rest, but my car will spend most of its life commuting to and from work, odd track day when i get around to it and just cruising

APR is a decent choice for that no?
yeh it is if you want to pay more for all the hype. lol
just pm DaveR. he will tell you

Hmmm Depends how fast you want to go, if you want your car to be really quick, go for Revo or GIAC
The others are more agressive than the APR tune. APR tune only runs around 17-18psi, and I believe the others are 21-22 psi

funny how some people still think that more boost equals more power...

That has been the experience of most people who've played with all the major brands. The quote peak torque figures of REVO/GIAC are also higher than others, and my bum-in-seat experience of the tuners was that REVO/GIAC came onto boost harder down low... but just about every tune has a very similar 5000-6500rpm power curve.

TBH, my GIAC was quite touchy down low... which may or may not what you're after.

Well it's a quicker way of highlighting it.... but yes, AF ratios and timing are probably more important in overall power.

Either way, I think you'll find people here have a wide array of tunes and I'm yet to find anyone who is nothing short of estatic about getting whatever tune they decided upon.

Here is a write up of someone's recent experience with DNA Tuning and their remap for their 9N3 GTi

The level of service seems very good and the distributor is local for Melbournites

All I said was that the "stock calibration" tune from APR was for all intensive purposes the same as factory stock performance wise. It has been said in the past that this may not be the case but based on the dyno and performance testing I have done there is no funny tricks being played.

Other than that, I'm not getting into any ABC vs XYZ tune argument.

    Powerchip for the win!!

Haha.... Nah, I have had APR for over 2 years now, and regularly see 21/22psi on my gauge.
I looked at about 6 chipping companies before settling on what I got, and I really can't fault the customer service I have had with it...
Whatever you go with, you will be very happy!!

How do you get 22psi on your Program, have you done anything extra

I took someone for a ride in my Gti with a manual boost controller and APR tune, it gets a few extra psi, peaks at about 20, and they said it feels a lot quicker than their APR tuned polo with similar mods
