Couldn't be happier with Johns service... Happy to answer any questions and the tune for my 77tsi was amazing well priced too highly recommended
I've been very happy with mine. Boost comes on in a very linear fashion, which makes it easy to commute in. Also seen slight (probably offset by a heavier foot ) improvement in fuel economy. One of the biggest reasons I went with DNA though was value for money... With the handheld tuner and two tunes I've got nothing to complain about.

Thanks TomC - good to hear some good feedback.
And thanks RandomX - but after reading your signature, im curious why you wouldn't be letting DNA tune your new Polo GTI if you were happy with their service and tune on your 77TSI? Seems logical to stay with DNA if you have been happy with them previously, providing DNA are able to tune the new Polo GTI of course?
How does DSG on MK5 cope with extra boost and power? does it shift as well as when factory?
06 Polo GTI - REVO Stage 2 = 140kw @ wheels.
06 Golf GTI - Bluefin Stage 1 blacked out with ED30 theme, leather, xenon, etc.
The DSG will always have its quirks but I haven't noticed any real change since having the tune done - maybe on the odd ocassion it gets caught in the wrong gear...
As for longevity, I guess time will tell. It does sit in the back of my mind (and is one of the reasons I haven't gone stg2 even though I have the mods to make it happen). But there are plenty of guys running way more power through their DSGs and you don't hear too many power-related stories.

Based on my research, chatting to John and some feedback from DNA customers, I have just ordered a tune from John at DNA Tuning for my Golf R.
Very keen to see how it all goes.
Just thought I'd update this thread incase it can be of assistance to others. My car is now running the stage 1 DNA Tuning remap. It goes really well, it's a lot stronger than my previous Bluefin tune, especially above 4,000rpm.
I'll be getting the car dyno'd in a months time so I'll post up the results.
Thanks to John at DNA for answering my bunch of questions and for providing a nice strong tune for an affordable price.
With the help of a Stage 1 tune from DNA Tuning, my Golf R made 204kw and 354nm at all four wheels today at the dyno day in Sydney.
Considerably more than any other Golf R with the same level of modifications. The stock Golf R's were getting low 160kw figures, and most stage 1 Golf R's (take your pick with the tune: Bluefin / GIAC / APR etc) were getting 180-185kw.
I was hoping to get 185-190kw, and was quite surprised to see over 200kw!
Great result. Go DNA Tuning!!!

Hey Lucas
Lucky for you my Golf R engined Audi S3 isn't actually a Golf R [but mechanically identical]
APR flash,HPFP,VWR intake-206.6kw/371nm at all four wheels.
Good result on your car too,not having a go,don't care what tunes people are running.
I think you could put identical mods on six cars and get six different results!
Good day out with a good bunch of people.
Cheers
Len
