    Experience with cv performance?

Hi, I am keen to know if anyone has had any dealings with CV Performance at Taren Point in the Sutherland Shire? They are apparently better known for their work on Ford and Holden vehicles. However they are now advertising tuning for European cars. Would be interested to hear from anyone who has had tuning done there. Regards, Jay.

What kind of work at you looking at getting done? And on what type of vehicle?

If your after custom tuning in the Sydney area, you'd be hard pressed to go past Mark from Recode (parso_rex on this forum) as he has done heaps of custom tunes on Euro's and is based in Miranda Recode Website

If your after servicing, then go with BWA Auto or RamSpeed in Seven Hills.

Looking at Stage 1 tune on a MarkVI G.T.I. I actually called into Port Hacking Automotive on a couple of occasions to talk to Parso and was informed that he is only there a couple of days a week. I did however leave a contact number with a female in the office but got no response. A friend also called there on a couple of occasions and left a phone contact number with the same result. As a result I have had reservations about doing business with them in case the need should arise for followup service.

Fair enough - in that case perhaps consider using either Ramspeed or BWA Auto as they do semi-custom tunes (off the shelf tune and then it is tweaked to suit the individual car). A member just had his Mk6 GTI remapped at Ramspeed using their European Kraftwerk tune (approx $1,200) and he loves it. See here > M4RK0's Hot MK6 - GTI - Page 16

Link to RamSpeed page with info on Kraftwerk stage 1 tune: http://www.kraftwerk.com.au/car_selector_2.php?id=1182

You also have BMR Autowerks who are a Viezu dealer.

Just bear in mind that being a Mk6 that your ecu will most likely have to be physically removed from the vehicle and opened to be tuned. Not all, but most Mk6's are like this nowadays (encrypted ecu), especially if its reasonably new.

Thanks very much for the response. My vehicle is a mid 2011 build. How would I know if it is a model capable of being done via the port or having to have the ecu removed?

It has to do with the actual ECU version they use - being a mid 2011 model i'd say your would be encrypted and will need to be physically removed. if you speak to the tuning companies they will be able to confirm whether your car is or isn't encrypted.

    Contact him directly .
The biggest benefit Ive found is that the car leaves his dyno with a figure and if there are any issues they show up on the dyno . I prefer going over my cars before I send them to Parso to tune so I know they are all good . The results speak for themselves . Try and find a quicker R than mine with just some bolt ons . And 113.66 mph is 4 mph faster than my nearest rival and only 6 mph slower than Guy H's Big turbo Golf R .

    Hi Jay Gee,
Sorry we missed you somehow....its very unusual for me to not eventually get back to someone and usually I spend most nights responding to emails. It has been a crazy month with several of the staff off on holidays plus atm I a mr Mum a couple of days a week (not fun) while my wife is working on the Olympics and this format is set to continue for a while too. What some don't understand is that a lot of my work is done at night - all the file editing and so on plus on other days I may be visiting one of the other workshops that I do work for or one of our suppliers where we are having stuff fabbed up or I may even be doing a read or program at a customers house/work.
The way things are going I am seriously thinking about training up one of the other guys to handle things like yours when I'm not there but I do like to handle everything myself and thats the issue. This is not a problem for a Bluefin remap (which we also offer) of course but even then I often get requests to load these on at the workshop.
As Seb mentioned contact me directly on the mobile or just PM me yours and I'll be sure to get back to you,

Your ECU won't be encrypted, I haven't seen a GTI that has been yet either, in fact another GTI owner whose a forum member here only has a couple of thousand kms and his read fine a week ago.
