Exhaust suggestions for a CC V6

hi
looking for help in this dept.just after some suggestions for giving it a mild/quiet note.no more than a catback preferably just a muffler change.must NOT drone.went to the local exhaust joint and was told it is not possible to make one not drone and they would sound crap anyway.i hope this is not the case?all help appreciated,i am in Brisbane.

Suggest posting in the Passat forum as you might get a better response there. I have heard people taking out the resonator on these but then it will be loud (fun for spirited drive through the hills but not for daily driving).

You can check out a few youtube clips but I find it's hard to determine the real world volume from these.



Suggest catching up with people that have done these mods if you can first and hearing the cars in the flesh. Otherwise be prepared to have a couple of goes at it to get it right.

yeah i hear you.i have seen a few youtube clips,including that one.trouble is most of them are overseas and not that relevant to Brisbane.
i have a Hi Tech exhaust on my Forester i'm selling and it is perfect.just the right amount of noise with absolutely no drone.they dont make one off the shelf for the 3cc v6,happy to do a custom one for me but i would have to take the car to them in Sydney for half a day.
oh well will see what i can find locally or put up with what it has.
