im currently rebuilding my 1.8 8v, i have a set of 81.5mm pistons for it, but was wondering if there are any 83mm pistons available here for this engine. i know they are available in the states.
im also getting the head ported and im going to fit an adjustable cam gear and bigger cam, is there anything else anyone can recommend i get done as well.?
its a digi 8v running aftermarket ecu, and would like another 30+ hp.
whats achieveable from an 1800 8v?

hi,
i too am currently researching the possibility of tuning my 8v rv1.8gti golf engine. As recomended to me by others. Get rid of the restrictive exhaust manifold and replace it with a FULL system from the head to the tailpipe. Oversized valves, high lift cam, oversized 10.5:1 wiseco pistons from the states. plus some head work and you'll be making a good 150hp!
The states is the go for parts as the exchang rate is so good at the moment....
