Thanks for the responses, this thread has served its purpose to me.

PS : Gav you seem like a sweet heart =P

Anyway OT: Was leaning towards GIAC, then APR and now i'm at a standstill but just going to talk to both tuning companies and possibly decide on one soon

    Thanks all!

Don't forget APR has 15% off their tunes atm which ends in 2 days! I've been very tempted but I think I will wait a little longer....

Yeah i'm going to get a tune regardless, atm im just doing some more research into both.
Though APR has a sale on now, it'll probably open up another sale when christmas hits, by then i'm hoping GIAC has a sale going on too.

The only reason why I'd want to go APR is for the option to swap programs back and forth, seeing as both tunes do pretty much the same deal.

GIAC on the other hand is a lot cheaper even with the remote (which i prefer to have rather than use the cruise control stalk).

But in the end i'll see, probably go for a trial on APR sometime during november when I get my license back >.<

We also offer a handheld switcher (also doubles up as an error code scanner) with our tunes; you also get to choose 2 tunes (ie. Stage 1 & a Stage 2+ file for future modifications) to save you money in the long run as you won't need re-tunes, etc.

I'd say to trial out all your options first and decide on which one you like best. We offer a 14 day refund policy (& we fully revert your car to its original software) so you can test out our option as well. 184kW/380Nm and 188kW/405Nm programs available for standard unmodified cars; with higher stages available.

The switching between programs is a wank, unless you have a race tune file.

Sounds like you havent even driven a flashed car. 1k for a GIAC tune (even similar gains for less with others) is a massive transformation. Surely a couple of hundred dollars cant be in it. Just get onto it, none of this sales stuff!

Out of curiosity is there any reason you aren't interested in Custom Code??

Well I live in nsw western suburbs and I thought cc is located else where,

And yes I haven't driven a flashed car, the only reason why I want to switch between modes is cause my family drives too and I like to service at dealership but yeah, ATM I'm set more or less on giac
