I don't understand what you are trying to say???

Any aftermarket downpipe of 3" diameter for the Mk6 GTI will be very similar in terms of performance - any differences would be so small you would not even know about it. Certainly not worth the money to swap down pipes simply to try and make 5kw.

I run a Eurojet downpipe on my MK6 GTI with 200 cel cat, and i certainly wouldn't be swapping it with anything else unless it got damaged.

You will need to have your tune updated to suit the new intake and down pipe.

there is not much power increase from stg 1 to a stg 2, compared to going from stock to stg 1.

the apr downpipe requires an ecu remap, hence u get a stg 2 map with the purchase of the downpipe.

    Hey guys
So I just did dyno runs.
And the figure shows that it makes the same power as stage 1 tuned. ( I changed to APR intake and a 3" downpipe). I'm wondering why it makes no gain. Anyone could help?
    Cheers

As mentioned by about 5 people in this thread - you will need to have the car retuned to suit the intake and downpipe. The tuner will adjust timing, increase turbo boost etc etc to suit the mods.

    Thanks for reply.
    I understand that.
So I went to the tuner this morning, and they did the dyno runs and told me that they can't do anything. They said their tune is making the maximum power on my car. The tuner is horsepower factory in Dandenong south.
But I thought I changed the hardware, at least the number should be increased a little?

Too many tears follow dyno runs....

What do the 2 curves look like, there should be more mid range on the Stage 2. Peak power could easily be the same.

Does it feel different to drive?

    Hi Gavin
    Here's the figures.
I don't see the difference because I can't read it....
I felt it is slower than before. Maybe I expected the increase too much.
    It is just weird.
    What should I do now?
The first pic is after stage 1 tune.
The second one is the run this morning.

APR stage II does produce more power and torque than stage I
From a drivers point of view the improvement feels much greater than the difference between the Stage I & II figures

    APR Stage I

    APR Stage II
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst
APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks
Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels

The same scales on the graphs would have been nice.........

If you look closely, I reckon there's a slight improvement in the mid range. In that the graph is a touch steeper, it's not massive though.

As Martin states from the driving seat the improvement feels better than the dyno would indicate. Could be that they are being conservative/safe.

I'd be interested to see the logs from a few VCDS runs.

    Gavin
