Hope I haven't missed this anywhere else, haven't been able to find much info about my model 06 mk5 golf 2.0 FSI.
Bit of a rare model to mod I hear.
Any advice for chipping or ECU tunes? Reasonably priced preferably. Not looking for APR level, as this is way out of my budget.
Has anyone played around with VCDS themselves? Seems a bit daring

Yep, so true.
I've delved into research a bit more. Basically no point for NA. 600$ for 10hp was the best offer I found, and there's no way I'm dishing that out.
Turbo conversion looking better and better...
Thanks for your input!

Yeah no doubt. Was more a joke
Though It makes a lot of sense (to me personally) to mod my car. I'll have it for a couple more years until I'm off my Ps. And in this time It's all a learning process.
Perhaps not logical, but I throw my money at my car and nothing else. This is also my first car really, so I am quite attached.

Then keep your eye out for a used bluefin, best bang for buck available. Gav is right that NA gains are nothing like turbo, but still, making the throttle sharper, raising the rev limit a bit, and getting more aggressive with the fuel and timing still makes a difference, much more so than intakes and exhausts etc.

We can provide NA tuning at a budget. Throttle mapping and ign timing being the key factors in extracting a better engine response and power delivery. Please email me if interested.

Clean your intake first . Ive found a lot of FSI cars Ive done the clean are happy with the extra performance/better fuel economy and throttle response of a clean intake/throttle body/injectors
